Financial Literacy That Actually Changes Behavior

PK–12 financial literacy curriculum, teen money education, and self-paced financial literacy courses, all in one place.

Financially Growing partners with schools, nonprofits, churches, and community organizations to design customized, NFEC-aligned financial literacy programs that meet real needs and deliver measurable outcomes. We operate as a consultant, not a curriculum drop-off service.

Most financial literacy programs check a box.

Few prepare students for reality.

Students are making adult financial decisions without understanding the long-term impact. Your financial education program should build confidence, not confusion.

  • Credit consequences

  • Aligned with your school or organization goals
  • Age-appropriate and developmentally sound

Credentials
Certified Financial Education Professional

Founder serves on a national advisory committee for financial literacy and has experience supporting schools, districts, youth-serving nonprofits, and faith-based organizations.

Ideal partners: schools building a district-wide financial literacy curriculum, youth organizations launching money education for teens, and families who want guidance beyond TikTok advice.

Money habits are formed by age 7.

Yet most kids graduate high school having never learned how to budget, save for a goal, or say no to impulse spending. The result? Stress, debt, and avoidable mistakes right when life is getting started.

These resources are built to help you:

  • Replace money fights with calm, honest conversations

  • Give your child hands-on practice with real decisions

  • Build confidence before they get a debit card or job

  • Protect them from common debt and credit traps later

Parent guiding child with financial literacy activities

Perfect for: busy parents, homeschool families, and anyone who wants to do more than just hope their child “figures money out someday.”

“We used the allowance framework and savings tracker from this toolkit, and within a month my 8-year-old was proudly telling grandparents about her ‘future savings goals’. I finally feel like I’m doing more than just saying ‘we can’t afford that’."

— Jenna, parent of an 8 and 13-year-old

“My 10-year-old now negotiates savings goals instead of asking for random toys. These resources changed the conversation in our house.”

— Sarah, mom of 2

Give your kids the money skills you wish you’d had.

Printable guides, step-by-step scripts, and kid-approved activities designed for different ages so you’re never guessing what to say or where to start.

Kid-friendly money foundations

Short lessons that explain saving, spending, and giving with stories and examples kids actually understand. No jargon, just real life.

Conversation scripts for parents

Savings trackers, goal-setting sheets, and a 14-day money challenge that make learning feel like a game for your child.

Common questions from schools & families

If you’re already doing something for financial literacy, this is where we usually start the conversation.

“We already teach financial literacy.”

Does it measure impact? Our programs plug into what you already do, adding clear learning objectives, assessments, and reporting so you can show progress over time.

“We need proof.”

That’s why every pilot includes pre and post measurement. You’ll receive an impact summary you can share with leadership, funders, and families.

“Students won’t engage.”

Our structure is interactive and developmentally aligned. Lessons use real scenarios, choices, and consequences, not lectures, so teens see themselves in the content.

Financial literacy FAQs

Details for schools, youth organizations, and families considering a financial literacy program.

Is this a ready-made curriculum or custom-designed?

Both options exist. For schools, nonprofits, youth programs, and faith-based organizations, we design a custom financial literacy curriculum aligned to your goals, schedule, and context. Including PK–12 vertical alignment if needed. For families and independent learners, we offer self-paced modules hosted on our private learning platform.

What age ranges do you serve?

Our custom curriculum design covers PK–12 (Sprouts PK–5, Junior 6–8, and High School 9–12). Virtual workshops are optimized for grades 9–12. Self-paced courses are written for middle and high school students, with parent guidance built in.

How long does a custom curriculum project take?

Most pilots run 8–16 weeks depending on scope, number of lessons, and how many age bands are included. During your discovery call we’ll map out your preferred launch date, pilot window, and milestones so you know exactly what to expect.

Can we integrate this with existing classes or advisory periods?

Yes. Many partners integrate financial literacy into advisory, homeroom, career readiness, economics, or youth programming blocks. We’ll design around your schedule and staffing so implementation feels realistic, not overwhelming.

What technology do we need for self-paced courses?

Students only need an internet connection and a device with a modern browser. Courses are mobile friendly but work best on a tablet, Chromebook, or laptop. Printable resources are provided as PDFs.

Do you offer faith-based financial literacy options?

Yes. The core curriculum is values informed but not overtly religious. For Christian schools, churches, and families, an optional Faith Integration add on includes: scripture reflection prompts, devotional journaling, and Biblical financial worldview integration.
